Visual feedback is the heart of Webvizio. While our browser extension allows for live site annotations, all other users now have powerful drawing tools not only for web screenshots but also for image-based projects in the Webvizio web app.

What can you do with the annotation tool?

  • Annotate screenshots and image-based files: Work directly on your visual assets.
  • Markup on the fly: Draw arrows, shapes, hide sensitive information, and add comment boxes to provide total clarity.
  • Instant workflow: Save your annotations and automatically attach the marked-up image to your task in one click.

With the Webvizio annotation tool, you can annotate/draw on automatically generated screenshots and image-based projects (including PDFs, Figma, and design files):

  • Annotate and draw freehand or with precision lines.
  • Add overlaying text for quick instructions.
  • Highlight certain areas to draw focus.
  • Hide sensitive information with the block tool.
  • Leave text notes on the screenshots/images/files.

How to use the Annotation Tool

  1. Open a Task: Click anywhere on your image or screenshot to open a new task window.
  2. Select Annotate/draw: Click the monitor and pencil icon in the task toolbar.
  3. Markup your file: Use arrows, shapes, or comment boxes to provide feedback. You can also use the tool to hide sensitive information.
  4. Save & Attach: Click the Checkmark (Done) icon. Webvizio will automatically attach the marked-up image to your task.

Helpful tip

While Webvizio’s annotation tools work with any browser, for better precision in captured screenshots, we recommend using Chromium-based browsers—ideally, Google Chrome.

If you decide to stick with Safari, Firefox, or any non-Chromium-based browser, please be aware that those browsers might capture the full page, including the browser UI and tabs—make sure to hide any sensitive data before attaching your annotated screenshot.
