How To Track Time Spent on Tasks with Time Logs

The Time Logging feature in Webvizio is an extra layer of task management visibility that allows users with the Assignee role and above to log effortlessly, track time spent on tasks, measure resource allocation, and have a better transparent overview of individual and team productivity. 

You can log time even if you’re not assigned as the task’s executor. 

How to Log Time

To log your time for a task, follow those simple steps:

  1. Locate the task you want to log time for
  2. Click the Time log icon (⌛) and then “Add time log” to create a new record
  3. The date will be preset on the current date by default, but you can choose a different date manually
  4. Enter the time period you want to log in manually or choose from pre-set options
  5. Click “Save“

That’s it! Your time log is now recorded and ready for tracking. 


Time Logs in Webvizio cannot be edited, but can be deleted when needed: 

  • Users with the Assignee role can only delete their own time logs
  • Project Managers and Account Owners can delete time logs for all users

Deleting a time log record is super easy. To delete a time log record, all you need to do is:

  1. Find the task for which you want to delete the time log and find the time record at the bottom of the task
  2. Hover over a record you wish to delete and click on the red X icon (❌) on the right side

Time Log Reports

To view a detailed report of your time logs, follow the 3 simple steps:

  1. Navigate to the Project settings and head over to the “Reports” section.
  2. Locate the “Download Time Logs Report” block
  3. Select the period you’re interested in, and hit “Download”.

The report consists of two tabs:

  1. Time Logs Tab: A detailed list of all logged activities within the selected period. 
  2. Users Time Logs Tab: This tab groups time logs by users, providing an overview of their logged hours. This report allows you to assess teammates’ productivity by viewing the overall time logged for each person and a breakdown of the time spent per task.
